Tamil superstar Vikram’s upcoming movie titled Cobra has been creating a lot of buzz since last year because of the strong cast and director. Irfan Pathan who is playing a role in the movie has joined the cast of Cobra in Russia for the final shoot.
The movie’s production process which had been on the final schedule was delayed due to pandemic. The team was shooting in Russia when the Covid-19 pandemic hit the world and they had to halt the shooting. The lead Vikram, director Ajay Gnanamuth with his team were sent back to India from Russia in March 2020.
However, the production team of Cobra and actors has decided resumed the shooting of the movie back in Russia. The movie schedule is on track now just like other south Indian movies which had been in a similar situation.
Irfan Pathan who will be playing the role of an Interpol officer in the Cobra movie took to his Twitter handle to share a picture of himself dressed in all black clothes fit for the cold environment in Russia which included a jacket, jeans and a furry coat. he posted the photo with “Work mode on” as a caption as he will be finishing his shooting soon.
There was a lot of buzz created in 2019 when the makers had announced that the cricketer turned actor will join the cast of Cobra to play the role of an antagonist in the movie.
The ‘Cobra’ team has been shooting for the film under extreme climatic conditions in Russia as reportedly the film’s shooting is expected to be wrapped up after this schedule.
The Director of Cobra, Ajay Gnanamuthu has worked on the post-production work of the movie parallelly during the break. Moreover, AR Rahman would be composing music for the movie, and a song titled Thumbi Thullal has been already released by the makers. In February 2020, The first look poster of the film featuring Vikram in seven different looks was released, It is speculated that the actor will be playing 20 roles in Cobra.
