Popular drama ‘Mr Queen’ actor Na In Woo is in talks with KBS’s drama “River Where The Moon Rises” to play the role of lead. The KBS has reached out to the actor as a candidate to replace male lead Ji Soo who will be leaving the drama’s cast.
Earlier today the KBS announced that Ji Soo, who played the lead male role of Dal in ‘River Where The Moon Rises’ will be quitting the drama as the actor has been tangled in multiple allegations of school violence. Ji Soo personally admitted to various school bullying accusations. Responded to the allegations by issuing a public apology with a handwritten letter for his past behaviour on 4th March.
So, the producers of the drama stopped the shooting immediately and decided to take a meeting with management on how “River Where the Moon Rises” to proceed with this controversy. They came to a decision to remove Ji Soo from “River Were the Moon Rises”. But there was an issue of removing Ji Soo as the drama was in its final stage of the shoot. As reported by the producers, they have already completed 95% of the filming for the drama.
On 5th March, a spokesperson for KBS stated “Ji Soo, who has recently become the centre of controversy, will be stepping down from ‘River Where the Moon Rises,’” they stated. “We are currently in discussions with the production company about our next steps.”
The Cube Entertainment, Actor NA In Woo’s agency confirmed that the well-loved actor of MR. Queen was in talks to step in the shoes of Ji Soo role of Dal in the drama the same morning. A representative of the agency stated, “Na In Woo has received an offer to join ‘River Where the Moon Rises’ in the role of Dal, and he is currently reviewing the offer.”
The discussions are still going on at the moment whether the upcoming episodes of “River Where the Moon Rises” which were scheduled for 8th and 9th March is going to air.
