BMW Records 5,867 Unit Sales in H1 2023

BMW India has announced its sales figures for the first half of 2023, and the numbers are impressive. During the six-month period, the brand retailed a total of 5,867 units, out of which 5,476 cars were BMWs, and the remaining 391 units were from the Mini lineup. Notably, the SUVs contributed to more than 50 per cent of the total sales, with the recently launched BMX X1 accounting for about 20 per cent of the sales during this period.

Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India, expressed his satisfaction with the sales performance, emphasizing that customer satisfaction remains their top priority. He highlighted that the success is a result of the company’s strategic approach, focusing on delivering class-leading comfort, performance, and aesthetics. Pawah also emphasized the appeal of sheer driving pleasure and sustainable mobility as key factors driving demand. The brand’s digital experiences, such as Joytown and the House of Forwardism, have further strengthened the connection with existing customers and attracted new ones.

In line with their success, BMW India recently introduced the X5 facelift in the Indian market. The SUV is available in four variants, namely, 40i X Line, 40i M Sport, 30d X Line, and 30d M Sport, with a starting price of Rs. 93.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated X5 boasts new arrow-shaped LED DRLs integrated into the headlamps, revised LED taillights, and an advanced 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, complemented by a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display.
