Harley-Davidson X440 is Available for Booking at ₹5,000.

Hero has rolled out the much-anticipated Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle in India. Powered by a 440cc engine, this latest addition to the Harley-Davidson family in India is set to create ripples in the market.

Starting from today, motorcycle enthusiasts can pre-order the Harley-Davidson X440. Bookings will open at 4:40pm on the Hero MotoCorp website, across all Harley-Davidson dealerships, and at select Hero MotoCorp outlets throughout the country. Customers will need to make an upfront payment of ₹5,000 to secure their booking. The motorcycle boasts a competitive starting price of ₹2,29,000 (ex-showroom). However, note that the delivery of the Harley-Davidson X440 will commence later this year in October.

The Harley-Davidson X440 comes in three unique trims – Denim, Vivid, and S. The entry-level Denim trim is available in a striking Mustard paint colour with spoked wheels. The Vivid Edition comes with a choice of two dual-tone paint schemes – Metallic Thick Red and Metallic Dark Silver, and features alloy wheels. The premium S variant stands out in a Denim Black tone with 3D branding and premium finishes. It showcases diamond-cut alloy wheels, gold engine and body parts, and machined engine fins.

Under the hood, the Harley-Davidson X440 is powered by an air-oil-cooled engine with a 440 cc capacity, redlining at 8,000 RPM. This suggests a potential long-stroke engine design, indicating a potent combination of power and torque based on early visual previews.

Aesthetically, the all-new Harley-Davidson bike embraces a classic design language. A distinctive feature is the teardrop-shaped fuel tank adorned with iconic badging. The motorcycle is available in a variety of color schemes, including some striking matte finishes.

In terms of design, the Harley-Davidson X440 seamlessly combines elements of the modern small Roadster with classic inspiration, drawing timeless design cues from earlier Harley-Davidson models. Further adding to its appeal is the advanced LED lighting and premium switchgear.

Safety and handling have also been addressed. The Harley-Davidson X440 is equipped with disc brakes at both the front and rear, providing secure stopping power. It also offers dual-channel ABS for enhanced control. Suspension duties are handled by USD forks at the front and twin gas shock absorbers at the rear, ensuring a comfortable ride even on uneven terrains.
