Skoda Teases the Fourth Generation Superb Ahead of its Launch

Skoda Auto is gearing up to launch the new Superb in the global markets next month. The 2023 Superb will be the fourth generation of the flagship model from the Czech carmaker. Skoda has shared the first sketches of the new Superb, which reveal a new design language called Modern Solid. The new Superb will sport a wider grille, slimmer Matrix LED headlights and LED taillights.
The new Skoda Superb will come in two variants: sedan and Combi. The sketches show the orange-coloured Superb in both the body shapes. The 2023 Superb will continue to use Skoda’s MQB platform, which means it will have similar dimensions as the previous model. It is expected to have a wheelbase of 2,841 mm.
The interior of the new Superb will also get a makeover. It will feature a new 10-inch digital instrument cluster, a Head-Up display with augmented reality and a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It will also have new rotary buttons with integrated screens for climate control and other functions.
The new Skoda Superb will offer a range of engine options, including TSI petrol, TDI diesel and plug-in hybrid. The power output will vary from 150 hp to 265 hp. The plug-in hybrid version will have Skoda’s eTSI technology with a 48V battery. It will be able to run up to 100 kms on electric mode.
Skoda had discontinued the Superb in India earlier this year due to the BS6 phase 2 emission norms. However, it is likely that Skoda will bring back the Superb in India soon. The official launch date of the 2023 Superb in India is not yet announced.
