Tata Nexon EV 2023 Facelift Unveiled In India: Check Out Price, Design, Battery, And Features

Tata Motors has unveiled its 2023 Nexon EV facelift, ahead of the car’s September 14 launch. The electric SUV is the first of four electric SUVs the automaker will launch within the next few months. The Nexon EV facelift comes with improved design, technology, and extended range. It also gets a new .ev suffix to differentiate it from its ICE sibling.
Design
The Nexon EV facelift gets some design updates inspired by the Curvv Concept that will reach production stage in 2024. The most noticeable change is the full-width LED light bar that gives the electric SUV a more premium and sophisticated look. The grille and bumper section also get some touch-ups to enhance the appeal of the Nexon EV facelift. The electric SUV is available in two variants – Medium Range (MR) and Long Range (LR) – and six trim levels – Creative+, Fearless, Fearless+, Fearless+ S, Empowered and Empowered+.
Battery and Range
The Nexon EV facelift features a cutting-edge Gen-2 permanent magnet synchronous motor that boasts a remarkable 20 percent reduction in weight, a 30 percent reduction in the use of rare earth materials, and significant enhancements in both cooling and efficiency. The MR variant has a 30.2kWh battery and offers a range of 325 km, while the LR variant utilizes a 40.5kWh battery, with a range of 465 km (MIDC). The range in both variants is now 12 kms more than before. Both versions come with a 7.2kW AC charger as standard.

The Nexon EV facelift is priced at Rs. 19.99 lakh for the MR variant and Rs. 24.99 lakh for the LR variant (ex-showroom). The booking begins on September 9, 2023. Tata Motors is also offering some launch offers for the new electric SUV, such as up to Rs. 25,000 cashback on HDFC Bank credit and debit cards, no-cost EMI options starting from Rs. 19,999 per month, and exchange benefits up to Rs. 50,000.
