Welcome to Surat, the proud home of the Surat Diamond Bourse (SDB), which is now the largest office building in the world. Covering an impressive area of 67,28,604 square feet, it surpasses the size of the current largest office building, the Pentagon in the United States.

Prime Minister Modi shared a video of the structure on Twitter, praising the dynamism and growth of Surat’s diamond industry. The SDB aims to become a hub for over 65,000 diamond professionals, including cutters, polishers, and traders, solidifying Surat’s position as a global diamond-cutting capital.

The SDB consists of nine 15-storey towers with 4,500 offices, and it is part of the expansive 35.54-acre Diamond Research and Mercantile (DREAM) City project. The total cost of this prestigious project is Rs 3,200 crore, and it is designed as a pre-certified platinum green building.Scheduled to open later this year, the SDB offers convenience and efficiency, with a maximum of six minutes required to reach one’s office from the entry point.

The project’s vision is to establish Surat as a prominent hub for diamond trading.Besides its massive size, the SDB provides exceptional services and top-notch security, making it a significant milestone in the diamond industry. It combines grandeur, functionality, and a conducive environment for conducting diamond-related business operations.
