Blackpink’s Jisoo Officially Named Global Ambassador of Dior

The top fashion brand Dior has announced that BLACKPINK’s Jisoo as its new global ambassador for both fashion and beauty.

On March 6, The Instagram handle of Dior released the news that Popular singer Jisoo, a member of the girl’s group BLACKPINK will become the global ambassador of this luxury brand and fashion house starting 2021.

In their official Instagram post, Dior stated that ”Jisoo embodies with her singular audacity the House’s modernity and the passionate creativity of Maria Grazia Chiuri, who was inspired by the Korean singer for her Dior Fall 2021 collection,”. Dior further commented, “Jisoo will also perfectly incarnate the empowering makeup created by [Christian Dior makeup creative and image director] Peter Philips.”

Up until now, Jisoo was known as the global ambassador of Dior Beauty, and also representing Dior beauty and Dior Fashion in South Korea. But now she will be the face of Dior globally.

Kim Ji-soo, or know as Jisoo, at 26 years old is the oldest member of her girl group, BLACKPINK which she joined in August 2016. And has been a Dior’s ambassador since December 2019. In January 2021, Dior Beauty’s “Dior Forever Skin Glow Cushion”, which was endorsed by Jisoo, was released exclusively in Korea.

This very announcement has made all of Jisoo devoted fans to go into a frenzy. Fans can now look forward to even more of Jisoo’s global activities as its official Brand ambassador.
