BTS Receives Triple Million Certifications From The Goan Music Charts
The Goan Charts Music Awards has introduced the newest batch of the official certifications on 11 March. It is a major music award show that is held annually in South Korea by the national music record chart, Goan Music Charts. Goan Charts introduced Music recording for albums, downloads and streaming, which are awarded based on shipment figures provided by record labels and distributors.
BTS’s Newest album ”BE” has officially obtained triple million certifications on March 11, after promoting over 3 million copies since its release in November.
In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association applied a brand new certification system for album gross sales, music downloads, and online streaming. Only Albums and songs released on or after January 1, 2018, are eligible for certification under the new system. After an album attains 250,000 gross sales, Goan Charts officially certifies that album as platinum, whereas albums that have offered one million copies or extra obtain a “million” certification
”BE” Delux Edition, the latest album of BTS after its preliminary release has sold over 3 million copies of its album. BTS has just launched a new album as well called ”Essential Edition” in February.
In 2018, before BTS, NCT’s album ”MCT 2018 Empathy” has sold over 500,000 copies earning it an official double-platinum certification.
NCT dream’s mini-album of ”We Can Up” of 2018 was also licensed platinum after it sold over 250,00 copies. Whereas Treasure obtained their first-ever Goan platinum certifications for their debut single album ” The First step: Chapter one” and their first full-length album ”Treasure Effect.”
English song ”Señorita” by Shawn Medes and Camila Cabello has been licensed platinum as well after it has 100 million streams I the streaming class. ”Nonstop” song of Oh My Girl, Kim Na Young’s “To Be Honest” has also been awarded platinum after their 100 million streams.
