Chenyeol from Exo group confirmed his enlist from military from March

Park Chanyeol, popularly known as Chanyeol, a member of Exo, one of the most popular South Korean-Chinese boy band and K-pop idol gave confirmation of his compulsory military enlistment next month.
According to a report by Soompi, Chanyeol’s management company, SM Entertainment confirmed that he will be enlisting as an active-duty soldier on March 29th. The agency also mentioned how the location and time of enlistment will not be disclosed and added that there will not be any separate event.
Chanyeol will be the fifth EXO member to enlist in South Korean Military. D.O. and Xiumin have already been discharged from the military and following Suho and Chen who are currently serving in the military. In South Korea, all able-bodied men between 18 to 28 are required to enrol in the military for 2 years in compulsory military enlistment.
On 25th February, Chanyeol wrote and shared a heartfelt letter to his Exo fans community opening about his feelings and expressing his gratitude to them. He thanked them for supporting him and causing his fans to be concerned because of his radio silence, he apologised for it. He even thanked them for their birthday wishes and for standing by him since his debut. He then went on to promise not to let fans down again and to live up to their perceptions of him.
It was the first time Chanyeol opened up to his fans after four months when he was in the middle of controversy where accusations were made about his personal life by his girlfriend. His girlfriend accused him of cheating on her with 10 people, even made a statement about never to contact her and wished people would know how bad he is.
This news of military enlistment came suddenly after Chanyeol’s silence from the last few troubling month, but even though surprised, fans are in complete support of his decision and are wishing him well.
