Most popular k-pop boys band of all time

It was in the year 2012 when the famous k-pop song PSY’s “Gangnam Style” went viral and took the world by storm. Since then people started to take interest in K-pop music and boys bands like BTS, EXO, GOT7, Monsta X, and others.

At present time they are not only famous in Korea but now they are famous globally and have collaborated with many international stars, swept many international awards, and also topped the music chart for continuous weeks.

BTS

BTS was formed in the year 2013 and since then BTS never turned back. BTS has also collaborated with many international stars. BTS is comprised of seven members. BTS has been famous for their unique dance, hip hop influence, and the style and charisma they bring in into their song.

EXO

It was formed in the year 2011 and made their debut in the year 2012 with 12 members.

EXO were divided into two subgroups Exo M and Exo K performing live in different languages Exo M used to perform in Mandarine and EXO K used to perform in the Korean language respectively. In 2014 and 2015 Forbes considered them as one of the most “Influential Celebrities”.

GOT7

It was a k-pop boys’ band that was founded by JYP Entertainment. The band has some unique facts such as, there are seven members in the group and all group members are from different countries making it a multinational member team.

After the release of their Mini album “Got It” the band became popular very fast. Whenever they perform live on stage they always keep the crowd entertaining with some mixed martial arts, street dance moves, and various elements.

SEVENTEEN

The group was formed in the year 2015. Although the group’s name is SEVENTEEN it only consists of 13 members.

The group is divided into 3 subgroups some handle the vocal some band boys handle the hip-hop, some handle the performances, and the other handle the choreography and discography department.

MONSTA X

Monsta X was actually formed in a TV Talent Show in the year 2015. They made their debut with their first album called “Trespass” which gave them instant success.

The band consists of seven members. Currently, they have numerous records to their name and have won many international awards as well.

WINNER

Winner was also formed through a reality show in the year 2014. The name of the show was also called: WIN. The band consists of 4 members named Mino, Seunghoon, Seungyoon, and Jinwoo.

ASTRO

The boys k-pop group was formed in the year 2016 and currently has 6 members in their group. The k-pop group made a huge impact on their debut. Billboard named them one of the best k-pop groups of the year.

STRAY KIDS

The k-pop group made its debut in the year 2018 with 9 members. They went on to become one of the most successful k-pop bands because their song topped the iTunes chart in many parts of the country.

NCT

Formed in the year 2016 NCT contains around 21 members in the group. The 21 members have been divided into subgroups. NCT stands for “Neo Culture Technology”. NCT recently released their latest song named “Hello Future”, which was a huge hit.
