Blackpink’s Rosé’s On The Ground sets a new record on YouTube

Rosé has finally debuted her much awaited album R with the lead track, On The Ground. This all English song is all about realizing self-worth and about self-love. The lyrics describe a star who devoted her life to always be at the top of her game. Eventually, she realizes one’s worth is determined by their inner strength and how they accept themselves for who they are. BLINKS all over the world are ecstatic over this awesome track.
On March 16, YouTube has stated that On The Ground has crossed over 41.6 million views in just 24 hours of it’s release on March 12 at 2pm KST. With her song, Rosé broke the record set by PSY for KPop soloists in 2013 with Gentlemen. The song Gentleman, has got 36 million views on YouTube and was unbroken for 8 years.
On The Ground also achieved the most viewers on YouTube for the music video premiere of about 1.2 million views! The song has debuted at 8th place on Spotify’s Daily Global Top 50 chart with more than 3.2 million streams in only 24 hours after it’s release.
Rosé is also the first KPop artist to perform on Jimmy Fallon’s late night talk show, The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on March 16th episode. Congratulations Rosé. Watch below her mesmerizing performance!
