Kiran Abbavaram’s ‘Rules Ranjann’ Shifts Release After ‘Salaar’ Delay

Kiran Abbavaram, the rising Telugu actor, has decided to postpone the release of his upcoming movie ‘Rules Ranjann’ after the makers of ‘Salaar’ announced a delay in their movie. ‘Rules Ranjann’, which is a romantic comedy, was earlier scheduled to hit the screens on January 14, 2023, coinciding with the Sankranti festival. However, after ‘Salaar’, which is a much-awaited action thriller starring Prabhas and Shruti Haasan, pushed its release date from January 14 to April 14, 2023, due to some production issues, Kiran Abbavaram and his team decided to shift their movie to a later date as well.

According to a source close to the ‘Rules Ranjann’ team, the decision was taken to avoid a clash with ‘Salaar’ and to give more space and visibility to their movie. The source said: “We were confident about our movie and its content, but we also knew that ‘Salaar’ is a big-budget and star-studded movie that will attract a huge audience. We did not want to lose out on the festive season and the footfalls, so we decided to move our movie to a later date. We are yet to finalize the new release date, but we are looking at February or March 2023.”

The source also added that the ‘Rules Ranjann’ team is happy with the response they have received for their teaser and songs, which were released recently. The teaser has garnered over 5 million views on YouTube, while the songs have received positive feedback from the listeners. The source said: “We are overwhelmed by the love and support we have received from the audience and the media. We are confident that our movie will entertain and impress everyone with its fresh and fun story and performances.”

‘Rules Ranjann’ is directed by Raviteja Girijala, who has previously worked as an editor for movies like ‘Brochevarevarura’ and ‘Mathu Vadalara’. The movie also stars Ruhani Sharma as the female lead, along with Ajay Ghosh, Rajsekhar Aningi, Bharath Reddy, and others in supporting roles. The movie is produced by Venkat Siddareddy under his banner First Frame Entertainments. The music for the movie is composed by Prashanth R Vihari, while the cinematography is done by Sai Prakash Ummadisingu.

The movie revolves around the life of Ranjann (Kiran Abbavaram), who is a happy-go-lucky guy who follows his own rules in life. He falls in love with Ruhani (Ruhani Sharma), who is a strict and disciplined girl who follows her father’s rules in life. How Ranjann tries to woo Ruhani and win her father’s approval forms the crux of the story.

Kiran Abbavaram made his debut as an actor with the movie ‘Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru’ in 2019, which was a romantic drama set in a rural backdrop. He received appreciation for his performance and screen presence in the movie. He is also known for his work as a writer and director for short films and web series.
