P Ravi Shankar’s Son Adhvay Makes Film Debut with a Script from Dad

Ravi Shankar, the renowned actor and dubbing artist in South Indian cinema, has long had plans to introduce his son, Adhvay Pudipeeddi, into the film industry. This dream is now becoming a reality, with an interesting twist – Ravi Shankar himself is taking on the role of director. When asked about this exciting development, Ravi Shankar shared, “Preparations are already in progress, and we will soon unveil more details about the project. We’ll begin with a teaser, followed by the film’s official launch on October 24.”
The film’s script, crafted by director Ravi Shankar, promises to be a youthful college romance infused with elements of mystery and spirituality. Ravi Shankar is thrilled to make his directorial comeback, stating, “I directed ‘Durgi,’ starring Malashree, two decades ago. After that, my life took a different direction, focusing on acting. However, my passion for directing never waned. I understand my son better than anyone else, and I want to helm his debut film before passing the baton to others.” He has already chosen Ravi Basrur as the film’s music composer.
Currently, the team is in the process of selecting a heroine and is actively seeking a fresh face for the role. Notably, Ravi Shankar envisions the film being made in multiple languages, including Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. Adhvay has recently completed a year-long course at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York and is now back home, diligently preparing for his debut on the big screen.
