Rajasekhar and Jeevitha Convicted in Chiranjeevi Blood Bank Case

elugu actors Rajasekhar and Jeevitha have been sentenced to one year in jail by a Nampally court in a defamation case filed by Allu Aravind, who is related to Chiranjeevi. The case dates back to 2011 when Rajasekhar and Jeevitha made allegations about irregularities in the Chiranjeevi Blood Bank, accusing it of selling blood on the black market.

The Nampally chief magistrate pronounced the verdict on July 18 after a lengthy legal process. The court also fined the couple Rs 5 lakh for their defamatory remarks. Rajasekhar and Jeevitha have been granted bail and have the option to appeal the decision in a higher court.
