Upcoming Tamil movie to prepone release date
It was revealed that the upcoming Tamil film Maaveeran, starring Siva Karthikeyan and directed by National Award winner Madonne Ashwin, is set to hit theaters on August 11th, 2023. With good buzz surrounding the movie in Tamilnadu, Aditi Shankar is also set to play the female lead.
However, there is now talk in the Tamil film industry that Maaveeran may be released earlier, possibly in July, to avoid clashing with the highly anticipated Jailer, starring Rajinikanth and boasting a star-studded cast. If Maaveeran were to release alongside Jailer, it could potentially have a negative impact on its theater count and box office collections.
An official announcement regarding the potential preponement is expected to be made soon. The film will also release in Telugu as Mahaveerudu, and is produced by Arun Viswa under Shanthi Talkies, with Bharath Sankar composing the music. Notably, Mysskin, Yogi Babu, and Sunil are also set to play key roles in the movie.
