The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 is scheduled to take place in India from October 5 to November 26, 2023. It will be the 13th edition of the tournament and the first time that India will host it alone. The tournament will feature 10 teams, who will play a round-robin format followed by the semi-finals and the final.

India, the 1983 and 2011 World Cup champions, have announced their 15-man squad for the mega event on September 5, 2023. The squad is led by Rohit Sharma, who has been appointed as the captain after Virat Kohli stepped down from the role in August 2023. Hardik Pandya is the vice-captain and the only all-rounder in the squad. The squad also features some young and exciting talents like Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and Mohammed Siraj, who have impressed in the recent series against England and Sri Lanka.

Rohit Sharma (Captain)

India will then take on Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, New Zealand, England, Sri Lanka and South Africa respectively before playing their final league-stage match against the Netherlands on November 12, 2023.
