Motorola Edge 40 Neo: Launch Date, Price, Specs, and Features

Motorola is all set to launch its latest smartphone, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo, in India on September 21st at 12 PM IST. The phone will be exclusively available on Flipkart and is expected to be priced under Rs. 25,000. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo is a successor to the Edge 30 Neo, which was launched earlier this year in Europe.

The Motorola Edge 40 Neo boasts of a 6.55-inch FHD+ pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The display is curved on both sides, giving it a premium look and feel. The phone also supports HDR10+ and has a peak brightness of 1200 nits.

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1050 SoC, which is a 6nm chipset with 5G support. The phone comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which is not expandable. The phone runs on Android 13 out of the box and promises two major Android updates and three years of security updates.

The Motorola Edge 40 Neo has a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP primary sensor with OIS and Quad Pixel Technology and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens with depth and macro modes. The rear cameras can record up to 1080p videos at 30fps. The front-facing camera is a 32MP shooter that can also capture HDR selfies and record 1080p videos at 30fps.

The phone packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 68W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. The phone also supports wireless charging at 5W. The phone has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, stereo speakers, NFC, and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.

The Motorola Edge 40 Neo comes in two designs: one with a vegan leather back panel in Pantone Soothing Sea and Pantone Caneel Bay colors, and another with a glass back panel in Pantone Black Beauty color. The phone also has a Motorola logo on the back that lights up when notifications arrive.

The Motorola Edge 40 Neo is expected to compete with other mid-range 5G phones in the Indian market, such as the OnePlus Nord CE, the Samsung Galaxy A52s, and the Xiaomi Mi Note11 Lite. The phone offers a unique design, a smooth display, a powerful processor, and a long-lasting battery as its main selling points.
