OnePlus 12: Display and Chipset Revealed in New Teaser

OnePlus has revealed some key information about its upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 12, at a recent event in China hosted by BOE. The company displayed several OnePlus 12 models, focusing on the device’s display features, while hiding the design. The phone’s display and chipset were confirmed by OnePlus.
According to a report by India TV, the smartphone had a large square-shaped camera module on its back surface, covered by a protective case. It also had an alert slider on the right side and thin bezels around the display. The volume and power buttons were on the opposite side.
OnePlus announced that the OnePlus 12 will have an ‘Oriental Screen,’ powered by OPPO’s first display chip, called Display P1. The smartphone also uses a pixel-level calibration algorithm to enhance image quality, increase brightness levels, and lower power consumption.
The device has received the DisplayMate A+ certification and has a 2K resolution, but the exact screen size is unknown. The images suggest that it might have the same 6.7-inch LTPO screen as the OnePlus 11.
The screen of the OnePlus 12 has a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, which is higher than the brightness levels of other flagship phones available in India. Moreover, the OnePlus 12 will have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, as per previous leaks and rumors. However, OnePlus has not yet disclosed the full specifications or an official launch date for their upcoming flagship smartphone.
OnePlus also launched its first foldable smartphone – OnePlus Open – recently at an event titled ‘Open for Everything’. The OnePlus Open is priced at ₹139,999 in India. Its open sale will start from October 27. The foldable smartphone comes in two colours – Vulture Black and Emerald Dust.
