Realme C51 Launches in India: Explore the Date, Price, Specifications, and Impressive 50-Megapixel Camera

Realme has launched a new budget-friendly smartphone in India, the Realme C51. The device offers a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup, a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, and more. The Realme C51 is priced at Rs. 8,999 for the sole 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and will be available on Flipkart and Realme’s official website from September 4th.

The Realme C51 is the latest addition to the Realme C series, which is known for offering affordable smartphones with decent specifications and features. The device is aimed at the entry-level segment of the market, where it will compete with the likes of Redmi 12, POCO C55, and others.

The Realme C51 sports a 6.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a pixel density of 269 ppi. The display has a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner for the selfie camera and supports a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The display also has a peak brightness of 560 nits and can adjust the brightness automatically according to the ambient light.

The device has a dual-texture design on the back panel, with a glass power process that gives it a glossy finish. The back panel also has a rectangular camera module on the top left corner and a Realme branding on the bottom right corner. The device comes in two colour options: Carbon Black and Mint Green.

The device has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication and also supports face unlock. The device measures 167.2 x 76.7 x 7.99 mm and weighs 186 grams.

Performance and Software

The Realme C51 is powered by the UNISOC T612 chipset, which is an octa-core processor based on a 12nm fabrication process. The chipset has four Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, along with a Mali-G57 GPU for graphics. The chipset also supports dual-mode 5G connectivity, which means it can work with both SA (standalone) and NSA (non-standalone) networks.

The device comes with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via a dedicated microSD card slot. The device also supports virtual RAM technology, which can allocate some of the internal storage as additional RAM when needed.

The device runs on Android 13 operating system with Realme UI T Edition on top. The custom user interface offers features like Mini Capsule, UltraBoom speaker, Dolby Atmos sound effect, dark mode, game space, smart sidebar, app cloner, privacy protection, and more.

The device packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W SuperVOOC fast charging technology via a USB Type-C port. The company claims that the device can be charged from zero to 100 percent in just 65 minutes using the bundled charger. The device also supports reverse charging via an OTG cable.

The Realme C51 has dual SIM slots that support nano-SIM cards and dual standby mode. The device also supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0², GPS + GLONASS + Beidou + Galileo + QZSS + NavIC + SBAS + LBS + AGPS + GEOFENCE + WIFI positioning + Cell ID positioning + EPO + A-GPS positioning systems for navigation.

The Realme C51 is priced at Rs. 8,999 for the sole 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant in India. The device will be available on Flipkart and Realme’s official website from September 4th at 6 PM IST via an early bird sale. The company is also offering a flat Rs. 500 instant discount for buyers who use HDFC, SBI, or ICICI bank cards to purchase the device.
