Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro: The Ultimate Flagship Phone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 3,000nits Bright Display

Xiaomi has unveiled its latest flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, in China. The new devices are the successors of the Xiaomi 13 series and feature the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. They also run on the new Xiaomi HyperOS, which is based on Android 13.

The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro have impressive displays, cameras, batteries and connectivity options. Here are the key features and prices of the new smartphones.

Xiaomi 14 Features The Xiaomi 14 has a 6.36-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It supports 12-bit color depth and has a peak brightness of up to 3,000nits. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is based on a 4nm process. It offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The Xiaomi 14 has a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide sensor and a 50MP telephoto sensor. The front camera is a 32MP sensor. The phone has a battery capacity of 4,610mAh and supports 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The Xiaomi 14 has Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and a USB-C 3.2 Gen1 port for connectivity.

Xiaomi 14 Pro Features The Xiaomi 14 Pro has a larger screen size of 6.73 inches and a higher resolution of 2K. It also has an OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of up to 3,000nits. It supports 12-bit color depth as well. The phone also uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and has up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The Xiaomi 14 Pro has the same rear camera configuration as the Xiaomi 14, but with a higher resolution of up to 100MP for each sensor. The front camera is also a 50MP sensor. The phone has a bigger battery of 4,880mAh and supports 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The Xiaomi 14 Pro has Wi-Fi 8, Bluetooth 5.5, NFC and a USB-C 3.2 Gen2 port for connectivity.

Xiaomi 14 Series Price The Xiaomi 14 series is priced competitively in China. The Xiaomi 14 starts from 3,999 yuan (around Rs 45,800) for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Xiaomi 14 Pro starts from 4,999 yuan (roughly Rs 56,800) for the base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. There is no official word on when the smartphones will be launched in India.
