Elite Athlets Covid Positive, Indian Sports Hit Hard Covid19 Crisis

As Covid-19 cases continue to spiral, Indian's sporting fraternity is hit by the corona virus infections that has spread throughout the athletes and coaches in Bangalore, Delhi and Patiala sports centers.

Simarjit Kaur The Tokyo bound Olympic Indian boxer Simarjit Kaur(60) has been tested positive as well of Covid 19 on Tuesday 20 April. Because of which the boxing team has been suspended.

Deepak Kumar While Olympic-bound rifle shooter Deepak Kumar, who is a Asian champion silver medalist tested positive in NIS  few days back.. He has been steadily recoverning

 Priyanka Goswami Tokyo Olympics-bound 20km race walker Priyanka Goswami, and a member of the support staff allso tested positive for COVID-19 at the Sports Authority of India's Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru last week.

11 players of the the national  junior hockey  team were tested positive in SAI South Centre in Bangalore.

Of the junior hockey players who tested positive, around eight are at the campus only.  Others are in isolation. There are reports of cases in NIS in Patiala too.
