EXO debuted in 2012, is a popular k pop band, also known as the kings of kpop. They used to be divided into two subgroups: EXO-K (Korea-based) & EXO-M (China-based) until 2014.
EXO has nine members: Suho, Xiumin, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun.
incorporates pop, hip-hop, and R&B, including elements of electronic dance music genres such as house and trap.
The band ranked as one of the top five most influential celebrities on the Forbes Korea Power Celebrity list from 2014 to 2018 and have been labeled "Kings of K-pop" and the "Biggest boyband in the world"
Exo's first album XOXO (2013), released alongside the breakthrough single "Growl" was a commercial success with 2 million copies sold.
They have released 7 albums till now, all of them successful. XOXO, Exodus, Ex'Act, The war, Don't Mess Up My Tempo, The obsession and last one Countdown on 2018.
As an opener to 2018, EXO hit the global stage when they performed "Growl" and their 2018 single "Power" at the 2018 Winter Olympics closing ceremonies in Pyongchang.
EXO have a spot in the Guinness World Records for winning the most daesang ("grand prize") awards at the Mnet Asian Music Awards.
Exo has made a spot on Billboards couple of times appearing within top 200 for their for ''don't mess up my tempo'' and ''exodus'' albums.
