Consuming too many sugary foods and drinks can impact your immune system negatively.
Choose naturally sweetened foods like fresh fruits, dates or jaggery. Reduce your overall sugar intake.
Avoid too much sodium/salt, trans fat, cholesterol and saturated fats. These can worsen your disease.
Eat fresh, home-cooked meals and avoid packaged and processed foods.
Avoid pork, chicken, soybean, oats, peanuts if you are taking levodopa, which is a common medication for this disease.
Parkinson's patients have balance impairment and alcohol makes this worse. So, avoid alcoholic beverages.
