Yoga Asanas to help burn your belly fat

There are different types of workouts available but yoga is one of the most trusted and effective method for nourishing and toning one's body.


The following asanas are the ones that help tone and flatten your tummy. They also help eliminate several issues like constipation, indigestion and bloating.


Bhujangasana  (Cobra Pose):

Lie on floor, face down. Spread your hands next to shoulders and stretch your legs with feet touching the floor. Inhale, lift your upper body. Hold for 25-30 sec. Lie down slowly on exhale.


Dhanurasana  (Bow Pose):

Lie down with your face down. Bend your knees and hold your feet. Inhale, lift both hands and feet at the same time. Hold for 30 sec and release on exhale.


Kumbhakasana (The Plank):

Lie face down and lift your body up onto straightened arms. Balance on your toes and face forward or down. Hold for as long as you can.


Naukasana (Boat pose):

Lie down facing the ceiling. Keep your hands beside and legs straight. Slowly raise your hands and legs together, holding your belly in. Make a V-shape with your body and hold for 60 sec.


Ustrasana (Camel Pose):

Kneel on the floor with hip width and thighs perpendicular to floor. rest you hands on butt, fingers pointing down. Slowly lean back, arch your back, touch your heels. Hold for 60 sec.


One-legged downward-facing dog pose:

Get into downward-facing dog pose. Straighten and lift one leg up and lower the leg towards abs. Repeat this 10 times for each leg.


Vasisthasana (Side Plank Pose):

Come to downward-facing dog pose, shift onto one leg and tilt your body accordingly on to that leg. Raise that opposite hand into the air and hold for 15-30 sec. Repeat with other leg.


It is best to practice these asanas in the mornings for best results. Make sure to practice deep breaths during the sessions.
