Working towards saving money on cleaning products and avoiding chemicals and toxins from daily products? Start with making your own dish wash soap.
While making your own dish soap sounds easy enough, it is important that it is fulfilling the needs.
The dish soap should clean well obviously and should also work on grease like oils and butter.
The dish soap needs to be right consistency. You should not worry about a process during something basic. Make sure it's not watery or chunky.
It needs to be as simple as possible that is using less ingredients possible.
- 3 cups water - 2 tablespoons grated bar soap - 1/4 teaspoon washing soda - 1 teaspoon vegetable glycerin - essential oils
Mix water, grated soap, washing soda in saucepan over medium heat. Remove once dissolved and add glycerin and essential oils.
Pour the mixture into a jar and set it aside to room temperature for thickening. Give it a vigorous stir before use.
Pour it in a pump or squeezable container and you're good to go. Happy Dishwashing!
