IPL: List Of Purple Cap Winners In All The IPL Seasons

The Purple Cap is presented to the leading wicket-taker in the IPL Over the last 13 seasons many players have won Purple Cap. Here a look at all the Purple Cap holders in the history of the IPL.
Sohail Tanvir was the highest wicket-taker in the 1st edition of the IPL in 2008. He bagged the purple cap after taking 22 wickets from 11 matches while playing for Rajasthan Royals
RP Singh won the purple cap in IPL, took took 23 wickets in 16 matches for Deccan Chargers.
Deccan Chargers Spinner Pragyan Ojha won the purple cap in IPL 2010 after bagging most 21 wickets in 16 matches.
MI's Lasith Malinga was the highest wicket-taker in IPL 2011 and won the purple cap, took 28 wickets in 16 matches in the season.
South African Delhi Capital's player Morne Morkel was the highest wicket-taker in IPL 2012, he scalped 25 wickets in 16 matches.
Dwayne Bravo won the purple cap while playing for CSK in 2013. He took the most wickets in the season with 32 wickets in 18 matches.
Mohit Sharma playing for Chennai Super Kings, grabbed 23 wickets in 16 matches and won the cap.
Dwayne Bravo won the purple cap for the 2nd time in IPL 2015. He took 26 wickets in 17 matches.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar won the purple cap in IPL 2016. He took 23 wickets in 17 matches while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar won the purple cap for the 2nd consecutive time in IPL 2017. He scalped most 26 wickets in 14 matches in the season.
Andrew Tye played for Punjab Kings i and won the purple cap. He was the highest wicket-taker with 24 wickets in 14 matches.
Chennai Super Kings spinner Imran Tahir was the highest wicket-taker in IPL 2019, He grabbed 26 wickets in 17 matches.
Kagiso Rabada won the purple cap in IPL 2020. Rabada scalped 30 wickets in 17 matches in the tournament for Delhi Capitals.
The young pacer from Royal Challengers Bangalore is the current holder of purple cap with 9 wickets from four games.
