K-pop Sensation Astro: Everything You Need To Know

Astro is a South Korean boy band formed by Fantagio that debuted in 2016. The young band has grown popular over the years gaining huge fanbase.

The group is composed of six members:  MJ, Jinjin, Cha Eun-woo, Moon Bin,  Rocky and Yoon San-ha.

Their group name "ASTRO" comes from the Spanish word for "star" which represents the members' wish to dream with the people they love, and become a shining star with them."

Astro debuted with the single "Hide & Seek" from their debut EP Spring Up. Were also subsequently named by Billboard as one of the best new K-pop groups of 2016.

ASTRO announced their official fandom name, AROHA, in September 2016. The group's official fan colors, "Vivid Plum" and "Space Violet,"

The name AROHA was taken from the ‘A’ and ‘RO’ from ASTRO, and the ‘HA’ stands for ‘Hana’ or ‘one’ in the Korean language. It means ''For Astro''.

ASTRO won the Hallyu Popularity Award at the 2017 Seoul Music Awards, Asia Artist Awards, and the Global Hot Trend Award at the 2019 Soribada Best K-Music Awards. etc

They have released two albums till now, ''All Light'', ''All Yours'' with many singles inbetween. All of them have been become hit even in overseas market.

Among the ASTRO members, Cha Eunwoo is the most well-known, because of his tight individual schedule doing modeling work and being an actor.
