K-pop's Darling Band  TWICE: Ultimate Guide

Since making their debut in 2016, nine-member Twice have become one of the biggest-selling girl groups in K-pop.

The group is composed of nine members: Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu.

Hugely popular in Japan, Twice have also notched up various records for YouTube views and Spotify streams. Name meaning “once through the ears and once through the eyes.”

While they are known as a K-Pop band, the group has already released several albums in Japanese as well as a track in English.

Their fandom is called ONCE. They announced this on Instagram with a message of "Many fans liked the word 'once.' 'Once & Twice.' Once, then twice. They seem to go together like needle and thread.

JYP Entertainment unveiled TWICE through the 2015 reality show Sixteen. and debuted on October 20, 2015, with the extended play (EP) The Story Begins.

Twice rose to domestic fame in 2016 with their single "Cheer Up", which charted at number one on the Gaon Digital Chart and won "Song of the Year" at the Melon Music Awards and Mnet Asian Music Awa rds.

Twice had sold over 3.75 million albums in Korea in 2019. As of December 2020, the group has sold over 10 million albums in South Korea and Japan.

Twice become the first female Korean act to simultaneously top both the Billboard World Albums and World Digital Song Sales chart getting International success.
