Someone becomes a victim of assault every 73 seconds!
You can't remove the danger. You can however, protect yourself! Here's how!
Walk with purpose with your head held high and don't stop until you are in a well-lit area
Invest in some safety devices like alarm or sirens that are subtle but make loud enough noise to alert nearby people.
If you are in that part of the town, don't forget to carry something in your hand. It may not be a pepper spray, it can be anything to intimidate attackers.
Stay away from alleyways and dark corners, they always spell trouble.
Sometimes, walking alone at night might be inevitable but, the choices you make depend on you. Choose public paths over dark shortcuts.
You never know when you'll need to protect yourself, so you might want to learn self-defense.
If you're walking alone at night, it's always better to keep a change of dress. You might want to be dressed stylishly for a night out but don't give anyone chance to use it against you.
Staying safe is easier if you're prepared. So BE PREPARED!
