Threading a Bobbin
BY: The News Voice
Every sewing machine differs slightly when it comes to threading, but you can still use this guide to get you through.
Place the spool of thread on the machine's thread pin. Make sure the dimensions of bobbin match with the machine.
Pull the thread to the left of the sewing machine and wind it counter-clockwise around the pre-tension disc.
Insert the thread through the small holes in your empty bobbin and wind it several times around the center pillar.
Insert the bobbin onto the bobbin winder shaft also known as bobbin winder spindle or bobbin wonder pin.
Make sure the bobbin winder is locked and pull the excess thread through the slit in the base.
Turn on the machine and wind the bobbin until it is full with several layers. Let the machine do the work for you.
If the bobbin is not tightly wound, it might not fit into bobbin case. And too much thread will prevent you from fully loading the bobbin.
To load the bobbin, lift the needle and remove the bobbin cover. Place the bobbin in the round slot according to the arrow shown there. Pull the thread through the machine's tension spring.
So since you plugged it in perfectly! Start practicing!
